Cooperation with ma-co
ma-co maritimes competenzcentrum ist the successor of FZH, Fortbildungszentrum Hafen Hamburg. ma-co is shareholder in MTC and a close cooperation is taking place. All marine related courses of ma-co are taking place at the MTC location, except the fire – fighting and rescue boat courses.
Cooperation with pilots
The pilots of River Elbe, Nordostseekanal I and Port of Hamburg are shareholders in MTC and a close cooperation has been agreed. All of a.m. organizations will perform their training of pilots at the simulators of MTC. The pilots will support MTC with know-how concerning ships models and training procedures as well as optimization of the simulator performance. Specialized pilot training for worldwide areas of pilotage can be developed and offered.

The Shiphandling Simulator and the Radar Simulator is comprising the latest state of the art software for harbour studies and research projects. MTC is cooperating with specialists in this field. A Data Base Generation Station can be used to generate new models and data bases.
